The perfect wear-to-work look!

Happy Labor Day, you guys! I'm feeling so much better than Saturday (I had tweaked my neck [again-- stupid herniated discs in my neck!], and I had a bad cold), and I am just fighting off the last of this little sickness my kiddos passed my way. But I am zero complaints here because it's Monday, and we aren't working! Yahoo! 

I pass this amazing blue and yellow mechanic shop every time I go to work. It's called Velasquez Mufflers on 38 in West Chicago, in case you're in the market for a muffler-- haha! If their business is as fabulous as their wall art, I am sure they're lovely. We stopped here after mass yesterday and got some pics. 

This dress is what I call the ideal work dress. It's not too short or tight, it has long sleeves in case your office (or classroom) is cold like mine. It's comfortable but still dressy enough. Also, I got it from Loft on a major sale in the summer for under $40. It's still in stores for under $20, but sadly, it is sold out online. I will link similar ones for you!

This is one of my all-time favorite Kate Spade bags. Mike bought me this beaut when I completed my masters degree! It's 3 years old, but here are equally as adorable ones!

OKAY, these FLATS!!! 

I have them in 4 colors, and I always rave about them. These are from the outlets about 4 years ago-- have you been to the Tory Burch outlet in the Chicago Outlets yet?! SO great, but I literally waited in a line around the mall to get into the TB store. haha! Not my favorite experience. But worth these being $120! 

These shoes are ideal for work and so comfy. They last for years. Truly. Think of them as a PPW (price per wear) shoe. 

I had to turn the camera on this stud. He came down from getting ready for mass, and we totally matched haha!! 

He is so stylish. People always ask if I tell him what to wear, and the honest to God truth is NO!  He buys all his own clothes and puts all his own outfits together. Of course, I LOVE how stylish he is! But I'd love him even if he wasn't stylish. lol!!

How did you spend your Labor Day Weekend? 

I cleaned so much, Mike has mowed 2 times already, and he painted the front door yellow! YYAYYYY!!!  Oh, and we ended up just buying a new washing machine (if you follow along on my Instastories, you'll know we have been without a working washing machine for 7 weeks-- I've relied on my amazing neighbors and friends!), so I've literally washed every piece of clothing/towel in our home! It's glorious. Also, STAY AWAY FROM HMS HOME WARRANTY!!! We have had such a horrible experience with them and the washing machine. Just beware!!! They've given us the runaround for 43 days about our broken washing machine, and we just couldn't handle it anymore so we caved and bought a new one. But don't worry: we have documented every phone call, failed attempt at fixing, no-show appointment, and everything in between! We have already contacted the Better Business Bureau and attorney general... HMS Home Warranty is BAD NEWS!!!!   A friendly PSA to pass along to my readers lol.
